rock climbing

Did you know you can rock climb in DTCF? River Rock - a new climbing area - is located in High Bridge Glens Park in the City of Cuyahoga Falls. The small area is located below the boardwalk in the Park, and is unique in the fact that you park in the city with abundant businesses and walk down the boardwalk to a great view of the Cuyahoga River and surrounding cliffs. Special thank you to the Ohio Climbers Coalition for leading this initiative!

glens trail

Summit Metro Parks manages 14000 acres, including 16 developed parks, conservation areas & over 125 miles of trails. The Gorge is less than a mile away with a trail head beginning on the South end of our downtown. Glens Trail, across Front Street from the main lot, offers views from the edge of the Cuyahoga River. Springs flow from the ledges along this trail, providing water needed for liverworts. Frozen icicles in the winter create a “crystal palace” on the gorge walls. The trail is 1.8 miles round-trip.
