Library, joins the Downtown Cuyahoga Falls

Partnership as their newest board member!

Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio — The Downtown Cuyahoga Falls Partnership is pleased to announce their newest board member, Andrew Harant. As of August 2022, Andrew is the new Director of the Cuyahoga Falls Library which is within the footprint of Downtown Cuyahoga Falls.

Board President, Lisa Ohler, expresses her excitement for Harant joining. “His previous experience volunteering with other Main Street programs combined with his enthusiasm for the Cuyahoga Falls areas makes him an ideal addition to our organization.”

Andrew comes to the board with over twenty years of experience in several libraries and communities as well as currently serving on the American Library Association's Core Values Task Force and previously serving as Chair of ALA's Committee on Professional Ethics and the Ohio Library Council's Intellectual Freedom Committee. Andrew is active with several community organizations which will add different perspectives to the Partnership.

“Part of my goal for our library is to further connect with our community through being visible, outreach programming, partnerships, and becoming directly involved with community organizations. The library being located in the downtown of a vibrant Main Street community was part of the attraction for me to be here, and I'm thrilled to join the DTCFP board to help keep and grow that vibrancy,” said Harant.

Andrew attended his first board meeting on Tuesday, December 13th where the organization’s 2023 budget, events, and several additional items were discussed, reviewed, and voted on.
