Falls Stamping and Welding
The Falls Stamping and Welding building was built in 1928 by the Lang family who owned and operated the business until 1962. Later occupants included the Congo Corp and the Industrial Tool and Machine Co.
Built in the Industrial Modernism Style, it is one of the last standing industrial buildings on the river representing Cuyahoga Falls’ industrial past. The production shed type facility was used for metal repair and fabrication during a period of rapid expansion of the city due to the tire and rubber boom years of the adjacent city of Akron. Triad Communications acquired, restored and repurposed the facility for their advertising agency in 2014. The “Foundry” was the first local landmark declared by the City of Cuyahoga Falls and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.
The building is located within the Cuyahoga Falls Local Downtown Historic District. The Gorge Metropark Glens Trail north terminus is located in the adjacent parking lot at 1160 Front St.
The Foundry is the current home to TRIAD Advertising and Marketing.
