(1903) Alhambra Building

About 1903, this 2-story with lower-level Downtown row type building was built by F.R. Hale and housed the Alhambra Movie Theater.

About 1945 the theater was removed and the building was redesigned as a retail Arcade. The Neoclassical façade was refaced with a smooth limestone in the International style. The arcade has housed a lower-level bowling alley, jewelry store, shoe and apparel shops, restaurants & food store, professional offices and a pharmacy to name a few. The building was again refaced with a clay tile curtain wall in the 1970s during the urban renewal period. The façade was returned to its International-style through the Historic Tax Credit Program and as part of the downtown revival in 2019. Tenants include a mix of professional offices and services and storefront retail. The building is located within both the National Register and the Cuyahoga Falls Local Downtown Historic Districts.

Street level storefronts include: Asterisk Coffee Bar offering a place to grab a quick cup of coffee or a spot to relax and enjoy | Hope Soap offers their lines of plant-based and natural skin care products | Morty’s Munchies Dog Bakery and Boutique caters to your canines needs and wants
