JAMES VAUGHN MANSION (1879)

James Vaughn, co-founder of the Vaughn Machinery Company, built this house in 1879 on Broad Street on the approximate site of a one room school house next to the Pilgrim United Church of Christ.

The 2nd Empire style house is characterized by mansard roofs, heavy massing, a tower and elaborate ornament. It was occupied by Vaughn family members until 1958. Curtis and Ramussen Architects bought the property in 1970, restored the house and converted it for use as professional offices. The building is located within the Cuyahoga Falls Local Downtown Historic District.

These professional offices currently call this historic house home: The Hecky Group * Vision Financial Management * Owings Law, LLC * TG Consulting
